My clergy credentials

- Coordinator for Turning Circle

- Initiated witch in the Black Forest Clan lineage

- Ordained through Universal Life Church (thus making it legal for me to conduct weddings)

I am Indigo. I am a Coordinator for Turning Circle, an eclectic Pagan/Wiccan fellowship located in Columbia, MD. I am also an initiated, ordained priest of Wicca (Black Forrest Clan lineage). I have been an active part of the Pagan/Wiccan community since 2008.

I think Wicca is the religion I was always seeking. I simply did not know of its existence until I was an adult. I remember when I was a child that I would always notice the phases of the moon and the changing of seasons. I felt more spiritually connected outdoors than I did in a church building.

In college, I used to arrange altars with pretty stones. I was a hard-core Christian back then. And yet I always wanted my prayers to rhyme and I always looked forward to the one or two times each year when Church was held outside.

Being gay made it really hard to retain my former faith. Around 2000, when George W. Bush got elected, the Church pretty much yanked the welcome mat out from underneath the feet of the whole GLBT community. I knew I could never be an atheist. So I kept my mind open for alternatives.

When I learned about Wicca, it was as if I finally had solved a difficult jigsaw puzzle. It turned out to be a religion that reveres nature and has gods that don't hate humanity. It was a good fit for me. I never looked back after making my decision to pursue this faith. Blessed be.
